There is little more to say about the famous Erste Lage “Gaisberg”. It is one of the finest sites in the Kamptal, and Birgit Eichinger has an exceptional talent for crafting a clear, harmonious, top-class white wine.
Fine yellow apple aromas, a hint of mango and blossom honey rise from the glass. On the palate, the first impression is juicy and elegant, with delicate flavours. This is followed by notes of apricot and a subtly salty finish that makes the tongue tingle. A touch of lime appears on the finish, lingering powerfully on the palate and leading into a long, confident conclusion. A sensual pleasure in the top Grüner Veltliner league at an excellent price.
A wonderful match for classic boiled beef or refined pub cuisine.
