Celler Carles Andreu Gran Reserva Cava, 0,75 l

The Cava Gran Reserva 2022 from Celler Carles Andreu comes from organically farmed vineyards in the Serra de Prades. As a Guarda Superior Brut Nature, it matures on the lees for at least 30 months and combines crisp freshness with a creamy depth.

The cuvée consists of 53% Macabeu, 29% Xarel·lo and 18% Parellada. The grapes are harvested by hand, gently pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. No malolactic fermentation takes place; with a dosage of 0 g/l, the Cava is bottled as a Brut Nature.

In the glass, it glows a golden yellow with a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, there are notes of ripe pear and quince, complemented by hints of toasted bread.

On the palate, it is dry and smooth, with fine bubbles and a creamy texture. Aromas of baked apple and grapefruit accompany the long, lingering finish.

An expressive accompaniment to fish, seafood, poultry and fine Mediterranean dishes – or enjoyed on its own as an elegant aperitif.
