Krispel Grauburgunder Straden Bio 2024, 0,75 L

The renowned Krispel winery in the Styrian volcanic region is celebrated as a specialist in Grauburgunder. This new organic local wine comes from several vineyards in the village of Straden and is shaped by the volcanic basalt soils.

After around 12 months in large French oak barrels, the wine remains youthful while already showing elegance and charm. It offers excellent value for money.

It has a bright, golden yellow colour. The nose is intense, with aromas of honeydew melon, ripe apples and subtle roasted notes. On the palate, it is elegant, creamy, full-bodied and very well balanced. Juicy, layered flavours of orange and ripe fruit are complemented by a hint of clove. The well-integrated acidity supports the structure and ensures a smooth drinking experience, leading to a full, flavourful finish. It has good ageing potential of around eight years.

It pairs beautifully with a wide range of everyday dishes, including pork, cheese and creamy pasta, and is also enjoyable on its own.
