Some sites feel like a natural stage, and that is exactly how Spitzer Point is situated. At the foot of Setzberg, Zornberg and Offenberg, almost like an old amphitheatre, the finest weathered material from the surrounding slopes gathers here. This is where vines more than 60 years old grow, giving this Grüner Veltliner its depth, precision and sense of origin. In the Jeroboam, the wine is given additional time and tranquillity, and that is exactly what you can feel.

After around 10 months in large wooden barrels on the fine lees, the 2022 shows everything you love about the Wachau. Ripe yellow fruit appears on the nose, clear and focused, without any exaggeration. On the palate, the wine is cool, very juicy and distinctly mineral. This freshness runs consistently through the wine and creates tension from the very first sip.

The finish is particularly strong, long, salty and extremely precise. Everything is in place, and nothing feels broad or heavy. Despite its substance, this Veltliner always remains elegant and animating, with a precise pull that immediately whets the appetite for the next glass. The Jeroboam adds depth and ensures an even more harmonious overall impression.
