Description
The Annaberg vineyard in the Vulkanland region of Styria is located in one of the best areas of this region. Josef Scharl brings out all the minerality from the old vines in this wonderful Pinot Blanc.
After 12 months in large wooden barrels and some ageing on the bottle in the cellar, this beautiful clear white wine is now perfect for drinking.
Burgundy flavours on the palate and nose. Ripe fruity aromas of apricot, peach and candied orange. A bright balance of fruit and acidity with a delicate mellowness is a testament to its greatness. Dry, yet full-bodied and juicy with only 12.5% alcohol by volume. Very harmonious overall.
Pairs well with grilled freshwater fish, poultry or a cheese platter.
