Description
Limoux, not Champagne, is considered the oldest sparkling wine region in France. Although it is now overshadowed by the powerful wine-growing region around Reims, some wineries still produce excellent and affordable crémants that have nothing to hide.
This vintage Crémant shows that outstanding sparkling wines do not come from Champagne alone. With its fine perlage and bright golden colour, it is a pleasure to look at. The nose reveals aromas of green apples, citrus fruits and a hint of brioche. The palate is very finely textured, creamy and complex. Mineral notes appear, along with a touch of orange zest, and the overall impression is fresh and lively. Good length and a very elegant finish.
