With the Grüner Veltliner Reichersdorf Alte Reben 2025 Organic, Markus Huber proves once again why he ranks amongst the top winemakers in the Traisental valley. The grapes come from selected vineyards around the village of Reichersdorf, where old vines grow on sandy-loamy soils with a limestone-rich subsoil. The result is an expressive local wine with plenty of character, finesse and drinking pleasure.

In the glass, the wine presents a luminous yellow-green colour with silvery highlights. On the nose, it delights with ripe yellow apples, pears and exotic fruit notes of mango and passion fruit, accompanied by subtle herbal spice and a hint of blossom honey.

On the palate, it is wonderfully juicy and elegant, with ripe apple fruit, subtle Veltliner spice and perfectly integrated acidity. The calcareous soils lend it an exciting minerality and a subtle salty touch. The long, harmonious finish leaves you longing for the next glass.

A delight both on its own and as a versatile accompaniment to food! Particularly recommended with Wiener schnitzel, fried chicken, pan-fried fish and Asian dishes. A great pleasure to drink now, with ageing potential until 2036.
