Rosé champagne can be fruity, playful and uncomplicated. This one, however, goes a step further. It combines ripe berry fruit with elegance, subtle spice and a freshness that immediately makes you want to take another sip.

Even the colour is a real eye-catcher: a luminous pink with cool, slightly bluish highlights. On the nose, strawberries, ripe raspberries and late-summer blueberries come to the fore. These are joined by notes of rose, hibiscus and violet, as well as subtle hints of gingerbread and cocoa powder. On the palate, the rosé is soft and harmonious, yet remains wonderfully lively thanks to its fresh berry fruit and delicate, airy finish.

Pinot Noir gives the cuvée its structure and character. This is complemented by a high proportion of Chardonnay and a touch of Meunier. In total, it contains 13 per cent red wine, which lends the champagne its colour and added depth of fruit. The low dosage and at least six years’ cellaring ensure a dry, balanced style.

A superb accompaniment to pan-fried salmon, lobster, mushroom risotto or young Comté. Presented in a high-quality gift box, it also makes an excellent present for people you really enjoy raising a glass with.
