Description
The Villa Sandi winery ranks among the finest Prosecco producers in the world. Yet, within the historic cellars of the old villa, it is not only Prosecco that matures. Here, Villa Sandi also crafts outstanding sparkling wines using the traditional bottle fermentation method (Méthode Traditionnelle).
The Opere Millesimato 2017 is composed of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, a classic blend reminiscent of top-quality champagnes. After its initial fermentation, the wine was allowed to undergo a second fermentation in the bottle, where it matured for 60 months on the lees, developing remarkable complexity and finesse.
In the glass, it presents a pale straw-yellow hue, releasing delicate aromas of green apple, citrus, and bread crust. On the palate, it is fresh, creamy, and harmonious, with refined perlage, moderate residual sugar (10 g), and a lingering mineral finish. Elegant and inviting, it immediately calls for a second sip.
Perfect for festive occasions throughout the year, this sparkling wine also pairs beautifully with fish, seafood, or simply as an aperitif.
