Malbec is Argentina’s signature red grape variety. Yet Patagonia as a wine-growing region still remains under the radar for many wine lovers. This red wine is undoubtedly one of our great discoveries of the year!

The vineyards are located in the far south of Argentina at around 39° south latitude. The continental climate—marked by large temperature swings, dry air, constant winds, and well-drained soils—allows the grapes to ripen slowly and develop aromatic depth. Produced in San Patricio del Chañar in the Neuquén province of central Patagonia, the wine is hand-harvested, strictly selected, and spontaneously fermented. The Reserve de Familia Malbec is then matured for 12 months in barriques, with 40% new oak adding subtle complexity.

In the glass, it unfolds with aromas of ripe plums, dark berries, and a touch of violets—so delicate it feels like walking through a summer meadow. On the palate, it is fruit-driven yet refined, showing plums, blackberries, gentle spice, and vanilla notes from the oak ageing. The structure is elegant and harmonious, powerful but never overwhelming, with a long, balanced finish.
