Catena Zapata is one of the world’s most renowned wineries, and the Malbec grape is undoubtedly the star of Argentina, particularly in the Mendoza region.

The Catena wines are crafted from select "High Mountain" vineyards, located at elevations of up to 1,500 meters above sea level. These exceptional grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously vinified by Laura Catena, a fourth-generation winemaker. After fermentation, the wine matures for 13 months in small oak barrels, allowing it to develop depth and complexity.

On the nose and palate, this Malbec showcases classic varietal characteristics—ripe cherries, hints of coffee, a touch of pepper, and dried plums. It’s perfectly balanced with delicate concentration: muscular yet refined, it offers a juicy, long finish with silky tannins.

A superb red that pairs wonderfully with beef, especially steaks, and has great ageing potential—this wine can be cellared for up to 10 years.
