Château de Braude

Authentic Haut-Médoc with a powerful character

The charming Château de Braude is located in the southern parts of the Haut Médoc, a small but ambitious winery that shows how much quality is possible on a manageable scale. The vineyards stretch across several communes, including Macau, Arsac and Moulis and are planted on soils of gravel, clay and limestone that provide ideal conditions for lively and expressive wines.

Cabernet Sauvignon is the main focus and gives the wine structure, depth and a clear profile. Merlot adds supple fruitiness that makes the wine more approachable without diminishing its class. Work in the cellar is carried out with great care, with selective harvesting, controlled fermentation and maturation that allows the wine to gain both openness and stability.

The result is red wines with dark berry aromas, fine spicy notes and a firm yet elegant tannin structure. In short, these are wines made for special occasions as well as relaxed evenings, and they offer a convincing price in relation to their origin and quality.
