Each year, the blend of this wine varies; in the 2019 vintage, it features 45% Syrah, 32% Petit Sirah, 13% Grenache, and 10% Mourvèdre. These grape varieties are classic to the south of France but have found a new home in the USA, where they produce immensely drinkable, fleshy, and intense wines—like this one.

The 2019 vintage matures for 10 months in a combination of 35% new French, American, and Hungarian oak, imparting a wonderfully spicy nose of dark berries and hints of Christmas spices. On the palate, it delivers spiciness intertwined with abundant wild berries and hints of liquorice, supported by firm yet velvety tannins. Notes of leather, cocoa, and a touch of caramel add complexity. It exerts good pressure on the palate and finishes long and spicy. This wine, akin to its predecessor, benefits from ageing but is already highly enjoyable.

It pairs classically with BBQ dishes or a pulled pork burger, offering a real treat for any occasion.
