Cordero San Giorgio SG 67 Pinot Nero dell'Oltrepo Pavese DOC 2020, 0,75 L

The SG 67 Pinot Nero comes from the estate's oldest vineyard, where the vines were planted in 1967. This origin clearly shapes the wine: it is dense, structured and marked by an exciting, cool energy that is immediately noticeable. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for ten months in French barriques and a further ten months in large wooden barrels. This combination gives the wine depth, elegance and a very balanced relationship between fruit and structure.

In the glass, the colour is a dark ruby red that reflects the concentration and ripeness of the grapes. On the nose, red fruits, redcurrants and fine herbal spicy notes are very clear and inviting. Subtle hints of cocoa and roasted coffee add complexity and lend the wine an almost balsamic depth.

On the palate, the Pinot Nero shows lively, well-integrated acidity that gives it a precise, energetic line. The tannins are dense and silky, creating a very harmonious overall impression. The long finish clearly reveals red fruit, spice and fine roasted flavours.
