Description
Bernhard Ecker is the specialist for Roten Veltliner wine and produces three variants. This medium-bodied wine from the top Steinberg vineyard is a prime example and demonstrates how incredibly beautiful this unique varietal can be. Although it is still young, it already exhibits its greatness and scores with its full aroma.
Dry matured, partly in steel tanks and partly in large acacia barrels. Instant first impressions of ripe greengages and blossom honey when tasted in the glass. Juicy, mineral, slightly salty, fresh and very well balanced on the palate. The finish is long-lasting with a subtle fruity sweetness. Highly praised by the wine media and almost constantly given 93-point ratings by AlaCarte and Falstaff. Although it will continue to develop over the next few years and has a storage potential of a good 10 years, it is already very enjoyable now.
Pairs perfectly with Asian dishes and strong cheeses.
Also a great wine to enjoy on its own by the glass.
