Fresh, juicy, Styrian - formerly called Steirische Klassik, now labelled Südsteiermark DAC, provided the necessary criteria are met.
This dry organic Weißburgunder (or Pinot Blanc) from this top winery represents the region better than almost any other wine. Harvested by hand, matured in stainless steel tanks and partly in large wooden barrels, this wine is now ready to be enjoyed. Aromas of yellow fruit (pears) with juicy oranges and some apple form the basis on the palate. Clear as a bell with balanced acidity and subtle spice. A tremendously drinkable wine and can be enjoyed for the next three years.
A versatile wine at the table - pairs well with fried chicken, a platter of cold cuts and cheeses as well as mushrooms and pasta.
