Description
Château Faugeres is a Bordeaux winery to keep an eye on. Having increased its prestige in recent years, it's about to reach the very top.
85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, typical, quite dark and dense appearance. A lot of blackberry, a bit peppery and dark cherries and graphite on the nose. Very full and concentrated on the palate, great dark fruit aromas of blackberries, cassis and black cherries. Very nice, firm and really ripe tannins, lively acidity. A muscular wine with a delicate mineral and sweet finish.
Yes, we understand the words of praise from the critics. Such reviews are always a snapshot, but this is a wine with great potential. Decant for a long time if you want to drink it now.
