Fidora Valpolicella DOC Classico Superiore 2014 Organic

Fidora is the oldest organic farm in the Veneto and surrounding region. For more than 45 years, wines have been produced here organically. The winery in the Classico region produces harmonious and easy-to-drink Valpolicella and Amarone.

The Valpolicella Classico Superiore is made from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes, the typical grapes of the region. Rondinella gives the wine its colour, and Corvina and Corvinone the tannins and structure.

Fermentation is followed by ageing in French oak, 12 months in tonneaux and 12 months in large barrels.

This results in an intense, ruby red wine that still has violet reflections. The smell is dominated by red berries, spicy notes and a hint of liquorice. Very smooth, harmonious and perfectly ready to drink. Pleasant tannins, the acid is present but goes very well with the overall picture of the wine. A drinkable Valpolicella, and a great accompaniment to red meat, as well as pasta or hard cheese.
