Grauburgunder, also known as Pinot Gris, is increasingly in vogue. This splendid specimen caught our attention immediately during a blind tasting. It embodies all the hallmarks of a classic Pinot Gris: finesse, a delicate acidity characteristic of southeast Styria, and an exceptionally juicy quality with a touch of mellowness. These three elements harmonize seamlessly!

After spending several months in stainless steel tanks followed by some time in large wooden barrels, the wine develops a nose redolent of caramel and ripe pears. On the palate, it is full-bodied and harmonious, with a satisfying weight. Juicy pear flavours mingle with hints of vanilla, herbal notes, and refreshing citrus that extend into a long finish. This wine promises continued enjoyment over the next six years.

Pair it with dishes like risotto, wild boar, and vegetables in full-bodied sauces, or enjoy it on its own for a delightful culinary experience.
