Weißburgunder from the Styrian volcanic region is becoming increasingly popular. Since 2019, this variety has been authorised with a protected designation of origin and may also carry the DAC seal.

This regional wine from the renowned Krispel winery is a prime example of a classic Weißburgunder from the area. Matured dry in stainless steel tanks, it impresses with a fine balance of fruit and acidity and delivers the typical drinking pleasure of the style. On the nose and palate, it is vibrant and crisp, offering notes of yellow pear and exotic fruit. The juicy finish is defined by the characteristic hint of bitter almond, subtle yet harmonious.

It pairs beautifully with asparagus, vegetarian dishes, cold starters, or Styrian fried chicken. This wine is also an excellent choice to enjoy on its own on the terrace, especially on warm days.
