Description
Previously known as Blaufränkisch Ried Goldberg until the 2020 vintage, this harmonious Blaufränkisch has now been renamed after its hometown, Deutschkreutz, to align with the new "Ortswein" (local wine) categorisation.
The Heinrich family planted these vines in the historic Goldberg vineyard in Deutschkreutz in 1947. With its heavy, sandy loam soils and warm, Pannonian climate, the region provides ideal conditions for cultivating Blaufränkisch—a grape variety with centuries of history.
Now perfectly aged, this classic Blaufränkisch from Mittelburgenland offers a rich, smooth profile. Aged for 20 months in used barriques and large wooden barrels, the wine reveals its terroir with flavours of dark, juicy berries, a hint of spice, and subtle oak. Its balanced acidity ensures an easy, enjoyable drink, leading to a long, elegant finish—a beautiful red that reflects its origin.
Pairs wonderfully with dark meats or a range of everyday dishes.
