The Eisenberg's Blaufränkisch is enjoying growing popularity—and with good reason. This local reserve wine comes from the Weinberg vineyard in Deutsch Schützen and, with 93 AlaCarte points, offers an impressive amount of quality red wine for a very fair price.
Aged for 18 months in 500-litre oak barrels, it is now entering its optimal drinking maturity. On the nose and palate, the typical fine herbal spice of the Eisenberg is unmistakable, joined by juicy dark red berry fruit. The wine is powerful and dense, yet dry, elegant, and harmonious, with a touch of extract sweetness and a mineral finish that lingers beautifully.
