Description
On the Leithaberg, Leo Hillinger shows how the international red wine varietal Cabernet Sauvignon can thrive. And everything he does is organic.
After a good 24 months ageing in partly new and partly used French oak barrels, the wine shows a nice drinking maturity and elegant structure. Very typical scent of cassis and some cedarwood. Every sip is characterised by dark, fully ripe berries and pickled fruits with a touch of bourbon vanilla. A bit of dark chocolate comes out on the finish. Ripe and strong without being overwhelming right up to the stimulating finish. A well-made wine with potential until around 2030.
Pairs wonderfully with game and beef dishes, and is a welcome addition to any celebration.
