Description
Only the best and ripest grapes from southern Styria are used for the ILLYR series, including this award-winning Sauvignon Blanc. A flagship of the grape variety from steep vineyards and matured in large wooden barrels. That is a lot of white wine for the money.
Very clear, shiny golden yellow in the glass. Seductive on the nose and palate, dry, with an animating touch. Expressive, refined, fruity and still fresh. Notes of paprika, cassis, gooseberries and herbal spice. Very precise, with subtle minerality and a vibrant acidity structure that leads to an elegant and almost endless finish.
Now reaching perfect drinking maturity and can be stored until 2032. Ideal enjoyed on its own with good friends or as a perfect companion to fish, vegetables or light pasta.
