Paul Lehrner Steineiche Blaufränkisch DAC Res. MAGNUM 2017

No other Blaufränkisch has consistently achieved such high ratings at this relatively low price in recent years! The Steiniche from the Lehrner Paul winery has the potential to achieve cult status. It has been given enough time to mature well at the right temperature.

On the nose, the 2017 Steineiche is delicately spicy with pronounced flavours of red berries and a subtle but noticeable use of wood. Dry on the palate, intense dark fruit and a hint of cocoa. Taut with fresh acidity and well-polished tannins. A mouthful of this wine tastes simply perfect. It has a lingering finish and is beautifully balanced. Now reaching perfect drinking maturity. However, it can be stored for up to another 8 years.

A really beautiful, modern red wine with a clear character of origin. Down-to-earth and honest to the last sip. A lovely wine to enjoy solo. Also a good accompaniment to dark meat.
