Description
Erich Polz Jr demonstrates with his new Extraherb sparkling wine line just how elegant and refined Austrian sparkling wine can be, even without much dosage or residual sugar! Exceptionally refreshing, lively, and delicate.
This white sparkling wine, classified in the Reserve category, undergoes bottle fermentation for over three years. It is crafted from Chardonnay (Morillon) grapes grown in southern Styria on coral limestone and limestone marl soils, and harvested by hand.
A bright lemon-yellow in colour, it reveals pronounced fruity aromas of peach, brioche, and hazelnut. On the palate, it is mineral-driven and tightly structured, with a vibrant, persistent mousse. Zero dosage, meaning extra dry, with no added sugar. Clear, precise, and supported by a lively acidity, it impresses with its freshness, refined finesse, and long, elegantly sparkling finish.
A sparkling wine for the conscious wine lover, ideal as an aperitif or paired with fresh cheeses, pasta, mushrooms, or white meats.
