The "Steiner Paffenberg" vineyard is a renowned terraced site that borders directly on the Wachau, but still belongs to the Kremstal wine-growing region. For this reason, the Vinea Wachau category Smaragd may not be used in its designation.

Only a small and limited quantity of this Grüner Veltliner is produced, totalling around 1000 bottles. The steep terraced vineyards can only be cultivated and harvested by hand. Classically vinified in steel tanks, this wine offers remarkable value.

Clear, bright golden yellow in colour, with vibrant yellow fruit on the nose and palate, delicate floral nuances and a touch of exotic character. Dry, medium-bodied and lively on the palate, with good tension that never overwhelms. The acidity is fresh and harmonious, accompanied by a subtle spiciness on the finish. A splendid wine with a fine mineral note and a pleasant mouthfeel.
