Here it becomes a little more serious, yet still very drinkable. Valle Maris presents Montepulciano from its velvety, darker side. On the nose, you will find cherry, plum and raspberry, along with hints of violets and liquorice. A fine spiciness adds depth without making the wine feel heavy.

The palate is full-bodied, round and beautifully balanced. The fruit is ripe, the structure pleasantly soft, and the use of oak brings subtle notes of vanilla, smoke and dark chocolate. Everything remains harmonious and approachable.

This is a red wine for cosy evenings, good food and those who enjoy Montepulciano with a little more body. It pairs excellently with beef, lamb, lasagne, mushroom ragout or mature pecorino. An Abruzzo red with power, warmth and plenty of charm.
