The name says it all! With his summer wine ‘Gemischter Satz 2026’ , Leo Sommer from Donnerskirchen shows just how much drinking pleasure can be found in an uncomplicated young white wine. Delightfully light, aromatic and wonderfully refreshing – a wine that makes you want to reach for a second glass.

What makes it special is that no fewer than four different grape varieties grow together in this vineyard. Grüner Veltliner, Rivaner, Welschriesling and Riesling stand vine-to-vine, are harvested together and processed as a single batch. It is precisely this combination that gives this Burgenland ‘Gemischter Satz’ its distinctive character.

On the nose, the ‘Sommerspiel’ displays pronounced aromas. On the palate, it is dry, light-footed and crisply fresh, whilst remaining elegant and pleasantly uncomplicated. With an alcohol content of just 11.5 per cent, the wine remains wonderfully light and truly lives up to its name.
