Veuve Clicquot Rich Rosé on Ice, 0,75 L

This rosé instantly brings a summery feel to your glass. It’s fruity, unpretentious and made precisely for those moments when you don’t want to take champagne too seriously, but simply want to enjoy it.

The nose is dominated by ripe strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants. Exotic fruits and a cool hint of peppermint ensure that the champagne remains fresh despite its juicy and slightly sweeter character. Served over ice, the fruit becomes even more pronounced and the rosé comes across as wonderfully lively.

The cuvée is made from Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay, and is blended with reserve wines. In addition, 15 per cent red wine from Bouzy contributes to its deep colour and fruity character. It tastes best served very cold at around four degrees, or in true style with a large scoop of ice cream. To do this, fill your glass about halfway and then carefully add the ice cream.

When pairing with food, feel free to go for something a bit spicier. Smoked salmon, sweet potatoes, a spicy fruit salad or yakitori skewers are excellent choices. But you can just as easily enjoy it on its own – ideally outdoors, with friends and a long summer evening ahead of you.
