Description
94 James Suckling points and two gold medals already speak volumes for the Pinot Blanc “Nuss” 2024 from the Weinviertel. Aged partly in barrique barrels (20%) and partly in steel tanks (80%), it achieves a beautifully balanced interplay of creaminess, volume, and freshness.
This dry white wine is like a warm spring day in a glass. It shimmers a light golden yellow with silvery reflections, releasing fine aromas of ripe pear, yellow apple, and honeydew melon, complemented by delicate notes of nuts and blossoms. The name “Nuss” not only reflects this nuance but also refers to the special site where the vines grow.
On the palate, it is soft, round, and delicately sweet, carried by a gentle yet lively acidity. Flavours of fresh fruit, a touch of lemon, and a subtle, creamy nuttiness unfold and linger with impressive length. The result is a wine that is fine, clear, and effortlessly drinkable.
