Description
If you enjoy elegant, almost feminine red wines, this splendid example of Pinot Noir is just right for you. Fritz Wieninger is known for his delicate touch with Burgundy varieties. It is no coincidence that he regularly ranks among the best winemakers in Austria in this category. Organic production is a matter of course for Wieninger.
After 18 months in barrique barrels, with 25% of them being new, the wine was bottled without fining or filtration. Despite its youth and great ageing potential, it has already reached a good drinking maturity. It offers a delicate aroma of nougat, wild berries and cherries. Silky soft on the palate at first, it then shows plenty of strength and well-integrated tannins. There is a pleasant extract in the long-lasting finish. Delicate and yet so multi-layered, you discover new nuances with every sip.
It is a wine made for autumn and winter. A dream to enjoy in front of a crackling open fire or a lovely accompaniment to lamb.
