Bodega Malma Reserva de Familia Chardonnay 2023, 0,75 L

In the up-and-coming wine region of Patagonia in southern Argentina, not only Malbec but also Chardonnay thrives at high altitudes. The continental climate, with wide temperature variations, dry air, constant winds, and well-drained soils, allows the grapes to ripen slowly and develop complex aromas.

Produced in San Patricio del Chañar, in the Neuquén province at the heart of Patagonia, this Chardonnay is hand-harvested, carefully selected, and spontaneously fermented. It then matures for 12 months in barrique barrels, 40% of which are new, adding refinement and depth.

In the glass, the wine gleams light yellow with green reflections. The bouquet is complex and expressive, with notes of fresh citrus and stone fruit, rounded out by hints of toasted bread, honey, and subtle vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet soft, with fresh, lively acidity and a long, harmonious finish.

The interplay of vibrant fruit, fine creaminess, and delicate oak nuances creates an elegant, balanced profile. A dry, fresh, and charmingly accessible Chardonnay—immediately enjoyable while also showing true style.
