Description
The"Loibenberg" vineyard in the eastern part of the Wachau is certainly one of the most important single vineyards in Austria. The new 2024 Grüner Veltliner Federspiel achieved a sensational 3rd place in the Falstaff DAC Cup with 93 points, making it one of the best Federspiels of the vintage.
This dry, medium-bodied white wine is truly a classic. It exhibits a deep, approachable character, with a blend of minerality and exotic fruit flavours. It is enjoyable to drink even in its youth. The wine is clear and bright, showcasing flavours of yellow fruit, including mango and stone fruit. Meadow flowers and white pepper on the finish. Remains powerful with smoky-salty notes on the finish.
A white wine made to accompany Austrian cuisine such as schnitzel, boiled beef or Mediterranean dishes.
