Description
The "Roter Veltliner" is an autochthonous Austrian white wine varietal and is grown almost exclusively around the Wagram in Krems, Kamptal and Weinviertel. It is enjoying renewed popularity and Bernhard Ecker has dedicated himself to this wonderful varietal.
This particular wine from different vineyards in Wagram can still be described as a classic. Its unique aroma is particularly appealing. Vegan (aromas of plants, vegetables) and fruity on the nose. First impression of some tomato and fennel. Very juicy notes of greengage, apple, quince, and more on the palate with a dry fruit-acid balance. A very stimulating style accompanies this dry, rather light wine.
A memorable regional rarity that is enormously fun to drink.
