A captivating, powerful single-vineyard Chardonnay from Leithaberg, scoring 96 points from AlaCarte and 94 from James Suckling – pure delight!

Shaped by the stony, barren slate soil of the‘Riefring Thal’ vineyard, the wine was allowed to mature for 18 months in large and small wooden barrels. Following a further six months’ bottle ageing, the wine is slowly but surely revealing its full potential. The nose is filled with delicate exotic aromas of banana, accompanied by subtle woody notes. On the palate, it is gripping and full-bodied, with a subtle sweetness from the extract. Notes of mango paired with a hint of creamy vanilla come through in the mineral-driven finish. A harmonious, long finish is the hallmark of a great wine with excellent ageing potential. Decant or let the wine breathe for even greater enjoyment!

A pure delight for the palate and certainly not a wine for a children’s birthday party. But it’s perfect for grand celebrations and life’s special occasions. It also pairs well with grilled poultry and pork.
