Zweigelt is cultivated exclusively in Austria and is also the most commonly grown red wine variety.

The conditions around Lake Neusiedl are particularly well suited to it, and almost 30 years ago, Gernot Heinrich from Gols created an Austrian classic. The wine is produced organically according to Demeter guidelines, which is taken for granted at the Heinrich winery.

The typical notes of cherries and sour cherries with soft tannins are also present in this single varietal example. Ageing in used, older 500-litre wooden barrels has made the wine even smoother. The Zweigelt flows across the palate with velvety softness and charm. A second sip is immediately irresistible and confirms the first impression. A high fun factor and a classic that no household should be without.

It pairs just as well with pizza and pasta as with quick roasted meat. The wine is also a welcome guest at any party. And a small tip: this wine tastes even better when slightly chilled. Enjoy!
