Silvia Heinrich Ried Goldberg Reserve Blaufränkisch 2021, 0,75 L

The vines for this wine were planted on the Goldberg vineyard in Deutschkreutz by the Heinrich family in 1947. The heavy, sandy loam soils and the warm Pannonian climate provide ideal conditions for the Blaufränkisch grape variety, which has been cultivated for centuries.

The small quantity of grapes was harvested by hand, carefully sorted and then fermented spontaneously. After 22 months in new barrique barrels, this still young red wine already demonstrates its potential. It offers an intense aroma of black forest berries with a subtle hint of wood and smoky notes. On the palate, the first impression is warm and complex. Juicy, round and well-integrated tannins lead to a finish with a touch of tobacco. Blackberries linger on the long finish. Impressive throughout, it reflects the refined craftsmanship of the winemaker.

Should be decanted or opened 1 to 2 hours before drinking when young. Pairs well with game dishes, lamb, or can be enjoyed on its own for quiet contemplation.
