Description

The Sainte Radegonde Rouge 2017 is a biodynamically produced wine crafted primarily from Cabernet Franc. The grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously selected before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 14-16 months in French oak barrels, resulting in a complex and refined profile.

On the nose, this wine immediately reveals a rich bouquet of dark fruits, such as blackcurrants and blackberries. Elegant spice notes of pepper and cloves are present, along with subtle roasted and vanilla aromas from the oak ageing.

The palate is full-bodied and well-balanced, featuring ripe tannins and medium acidity. The dark fruit and spice flavours continue, complemented by a fine minerality that adds freshness. Hints of tobacco and coffee emerge, contributing to the wine’s complexity. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant touch of vanilla and refined fruit.

This wine pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, from grilled meats and game to strong cheeses. It also shines when enjoyed on its own, allowing its complexity and finesse to fully unfold. Additionally, it has the potential to mature gracefully for 15-20 years, offering even more depth and character with time.
