Johanneshof Reinisch Ried Spiegel Zierfandler 2023 Organic, 0,75 l

Zierfandler is a rare, indigenous grape variety found exclusively in the south of Vienna, in the Thermenregion wine-growing region. This gem from the finest Monopol vineyard, Spiegel in Gumpoldskirchen, ranks amongst the very best of its kind.
After 10 months’ ageing in large wooden casks, the result is a full-bodied, complex white wine that feels quite young on the palate but unfolds its full potential with a little air in the glass. A delicately spicy bouquet with plenty of exotic notes. Creamy, full-bodied and elegantly robust. Best enjoyed not too cold, at around 12 °C, in a Burgundy glass. This brings out its full intensity and a long finish. Can certainly be cellared for 8–10 years!

Brilliant with fish fried in (plenty of) butter, Asian dishes or mature cheeses. Or simply whilst gazing out at the countryside.
