Description
A few years ago, the renowned Swiss wine expert René Gabriel awarded the St. Laurent from the Frauenfeld vineyard at Johanneshof Reinisch the all-time highest score of 19/20 points in the magazine ‘Weinwisser’, describing this wine as the world’s best of its kind! The 2023 vintage was also awarded an incredible 95 points by Falstaff!
With its stony soil, Frauenfeld is one of the world’s finest sites for cultivating this grape variety. The grapes come from vines that are at least 40 years old. Dark ruby-garnet colour with violet highlights in the glass. Delicate hints of cardamom and pepper, black forest berry jam, and subtle notes of pipe tobacco. Juicy, red-berried fruit, fresh structure, well-integrated tannins – already approachable and ready to drink!
A versatile accompaniment to food, including stews and roasts of dark meat, game dishes and mature cheeses.
