Description
Malbec is Argentina’s flagship grape. In this Mendoza wine, Terrazas de los Andes brings it to the glass with dark fruit, gentle spice and fresh acidity.
The grapes come from Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley in Mendoza. During ageing, part of the wine spent 12 months in used French oak barrels, while another part remained in tank.
On the nose, you find plum, cherry and violet, followed by spice, caramel and chocolate. On the palate, the wine shows round tannins and a fresh, well-balanced acidity.
It works especially well with grilled or braised beef and lamb. Pasta with tomato sauce is also a great match. Serve it at around 16 °C to show its fruit and spice at their best.
