Some champagnes stay with you, and this is one of them. From the very first tasting at the winery, it was clear that this is not a pleasant all-rounder but a champagne with attitude. Terre du Mesnil brings one of the most renowned places in Champagne into the glass in an almost unfiltered way.

The grapes are sourced exclusively from several parcels around Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, including both local vineyards and neighbouring sites. This diversity is exactly what makes the wine so compelling, as it reflects the full spectrum of this legendary terroir. With just one gram of dosage, the style remains extremely pure without feeling harsh or austere.

On the nose, the champagne immediately shows the cool mineral character of the chalky soils, complemented by a touch of honey and subtle smoky notes. On the palate, it is taut, very juicy and precise. The fine perlage delivers both energy and elegance, while the acidity is clearly present yet beautifully integrated. The creamy, chalky texture for which Mesnil is so well known carries through to the long, fresh finish, accompanied by salty notes and very delicate exotic nuances.
