Ecker - Eckhof V[i] W[a] Viognier 2023 organic

V[i] W[a] is Austrian dialect and means "truly". It was chosen because the French Viognier grape is not approved as a quality varietal in Austria and may therefore not be officially listed on the label.

What counts, however, is the content and this is an insider tip! The wine was picked by hand, fermented in concrete with natural yeast and matured. This gives this wine additional structure and cool elegance.
Clear, yellow-gold in the glass. A delicate scent of yellow fruits and papaya. Dry on the palate but intense fruit with delicate minerality. Violets appear. In the finish, an exotic note lies over the palate and closes with a benevolent finale. High-quality and good storage potential.

A hit at blind tastings or something new to try. It also pairs well with fish and vegetarian dishes.
