Gober & Freinbichler Cuvee Rote Vielfalt 2023, 0,75 L

A highly accessible red wine cuvée for everyday enjoyment from the up-and-coming winery in Mittelburgenland!

We were immediately impressed by the Cuvée Rote Vielfalt when we first tasted it. Composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Blaufränkisch, the grapes are carefully hand-harvested and then matured for around a year in a large, seasoned wooden barrel.

This is a light, fruity red that is wonderfully drinkable. Juicy notes of ripe cherries, plums, and dark berries are velvety and soft, typical of Merlot, while the Blaufränkisch contributes a delicate spiciness. The palate is rounded, with silky tannins, a satisfying length, and a finish that invites the next sip.

A versatile companion to a wide range of everyday dishes—particularly BBQ, pizza, or pasta Bolognese. Equally enjoyable on its own at any gathering. A little tip: serve slightly cooler to bring out the wine’s best qualities and maximise enjoyment.
