Gut Böheim Grüner Veltliner Alte Reben Carnuntum DAC 2025, 0,75 L

Grüner Veltliner and Carnuntum may not always be the first pairing that comes to mind. However, this typical grape variety has long been cultivated in this region and is now also recognised as a DAC. The 2025 vintage has produced excellent wines, with slightly lower alcohol and more structure.

This Veltliner Alte Reben is an exclusive late bottling. It was matured for five months in stainless steel tanks and is now at its optimal drinking stage. Grown on loess and sandy loam soils, this wine outshines many varietal examples from other classic Veltliner regions. The price-to-quality ratio is particularly impressive, as wines of comparable quality often cost significantly more elsewhere.

Light greenish yellow in colour, with a concentrated and clear Veltliner aroma complemented by subtle exotic notes. Dry, dense, and very juicy on the palate, with clear fruit and convincing length. It shows good, ripe volume and is already well-balanced with a pleasant mouthfeel, while also offering good ageing potential. This is a classic expression of Veltliner.

Ideal with baked dishes, risotto, and traditional home cooking, it is a versatile everyday companion.
