Description
The Reinisch brothers from the Thermenregion, south of Vienna, have demonstrated their keen eye for quality wines, and not just with Burgundy varieties.
The Zweigelt from the Frauenfeld vineyard is characterised by its complexity, but also by its fruitiness. It was matured for a good 10 months in small oak barrels and, in our view, ranks among the best of its variety in this price range.
Typical sour cherry and cherry aromas on the nose and on the palate. Delicate, subtle toasty notes from the wood. Full-bodied yet still lively and fruity on the palate. Completely dry, elegant and a delight to drink. Displays its feminine character and a lovely, warm finish.
Pairs wonderfully with dark stews, game, and soft cheeses.
