Leo Hillinger Constantia Hill White 2020 4 +2 Free, 6 x 0.75l

When we visited Leo Hillinger's winery, we were immediately impressed by the fruit and harmony in his wine. Leo himself is in Cape Town twice a year to oversee his joint project with the Waibel family from Dornbirn in Austria. This white wine reflects the grape varieties of this beautiful region particularly well.

Consisting of 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Semillon, the wine was fermented and matured in stainless steel. Typical Sauvignon aromas of yellow fruits, mango and elder fruit hit the palate with slightly grassy notes. This fruit combination has a lively citrus freshness; great fun and creating the desire for a second sip. The Semillon provides the structure and gives the wine a little more elegance.

We like to drink it with stir-fried vegetables, roasted trout with wasabi puree or simply enjoy it on its own as an accompaniment to conversations with good friends.
