Description

A Grüner Veltliner aged for five years in barrels from the first vineyard in Krems. Excellent.

The Gebling vineyard in Kremstal is one of the certified first vineyards of the traditional Austrian wineries and produces very full-bodied and mineral wines. This special white wine has been given extra time to mature perfectly. Today you get a spicy, powerful and harmonious Veltliner that is simply delightful.

Medium yellow gold in colour in the glass. The appealing nose shows candied orange zest paired with fine herbal spice and hints of yellow tropical fruit. Dry and powerful on the palate. It immediately fills the whole mouth. Ripe apples, subtle extract sweetness and white stone fruit make themselves known. A subtle acidity leads to slightly tobacco-like notes in a very long finish. A very harmonious and multi-layered overall impression. Very good ageing potential.

Ideal with strong dishes, cheese or simply on its own to broaden your horizons.
