Description
This dry, powerful red wine shows typical Merlot properties and impresses from the first sip. Aged for 14 months in barriques (30% new barrels) and from the warm 2017 vintage - perfect conditions for this international red wine variety.
Dark, fully ripe berries on the nose, some tobacco and delicate mint. It is so meaty on the palate that you immediately want a steak as an accompaniment. Fiery warm with a strong body, and goes on and on. A little rumpot and dried plums with a well-integrated wood note make for a very harmonious wine. Still young, but with good ageing potential and at a very fair price!
